Liquid to lower leverage to 4 times
The Japanese leveraged cyrptocurrency exchange Liquid has announced it’s plan to lower maximum leverage from 25 to 4 times.
In an e-mail sent to registered traders, Liquid shared details of the scheduled leverage lowering plan. Clarifying details about the leverage lowering update, Liquid indicated that it is going to lower the maximum leverage limit as of 15 May 2019.
The high risk arising from high leverages is seen as a big thread to traders funds and it is more likely to result in capital bankruptcy. This fact is though to be the motive behind Liquid’s leverage lowering decision.
From 15 May 2019, Liquid traders will be able to buy cryptocurrencies at 1:4 maximum leverage ratio, borrowing maximum 4 times of their capitals.
