Bible New Testament Verses Normalizing Slavery
The New Testament does not explicitly condemn the institution of slavery, but rather offers instructions on how both slaves and masters should act. These passages are seen as ethically problematic because they appear to tolerate, rather than abolish, a morally repugnant practice.
Ephesians 6:5: “Slaves, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling, with a sincere heart, just as you would obey Christ.”
Colossians 3:22: “Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; not only while being watched in order to please them, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord.”
Philemon (the entire letter): This brief letter involves the Apostle Paul sending a runaway slave, Onesimus, back to his master, Philemon, though with the request that Philemon receive him “no longer as a slave, but better than a slave, as a dear brother.”
All religions have moral problems and this is proof that they have nothing to do with the real god
