US iPhone 14s dont have sim card tray
Announcement that iPhone 14 does not have sim card slot apparently will cost Apple loss in customer numbers.
The Apple announced today that US version iPhone 14s don’t have sim card tray but instead come with an embedded eSIM.
The eSIM technology is not something new but it is the first time that a smartphone works on eSIM mode only without a physical sim card.
The esim-only iPhones have sparked negative criticism on social media networks with some users saying they would no longer use iPhone.
What is eSIM ?
An eSIM is a form of programmable SIM card that is embedded directly into a device. Instead of an integrated circuit located on a removable universal integrated circuit card, typically made of PVC, an eSIM consists of software installed onto an eUICC chip permanently attached to a device.
