Delete or Deactivate Threads Account without Deleting Instagram Acount : It has officially been announced that users willing to delete their Threads Profile have to delete their linked instagram account.

According to the Threads’ privacy policy threads profiles can be deactivated anytime without any restrictions. However, deleting a Threads account requires more than that. Here is what the privacy policy reads :
“You may deactivate your Threads profile at any time, but your Threads profile can only be deleted by deleting your Instagram account,”
How to Deactivate Threads Account
Deactivating threads accounts is the only option available for now in case users don’t like to use it. Deactivating a threads account means suspension of the account which will no longer be viewable and accessable by other users. However the account can be re-activated whenever preferred. Threads account are not permanently deleted if not reactivated within a certain period of time.
Here are necessary steps to de-activate Threads Profile :
1- Tap on the user icon located at the right
2- Tap on the icon of two unequal lines at the top right corner of the screen, just above your profile photo.
3- Tap on the “account” link.
