The footages obtained from both the CCTV surveillance cameras and in-car cameras expose the dramatic moments when Diogo Jota and his brother had car crash and terrific moments when their car set on fire after the crash.
Liverpool and Portugal footballer Diogo Jota and his brother, André Silva, have tragically died in a car accident in Spain.
Authorities are still investigating the incident. Both security cameras and in-car camera footage have been taken under review.
The crash occurred near Zamora, Spain, around 00:30 local time (23:30 BST). According to Spain’s Guardia Civil, the vehicle—a Lamborghini—lost control after a tyre blowout while overtaking another car. The car then left the road and caught fire.
It is believed that Diogo Jota and his brother were inside the car when it caught fire. However, the autopsy will determine whether they were conscious or unconscious at the time of the fire.
